Citi Dividend World vs Citi Platinum Select

Convenience for customers and cashbacks or rewards for purchases are the primary features of both cards. The main difference between these two lies on extra features that only one of these cards offer.

Citi Dividend World may contain all the other usual features found in other cards, but it brings forth a new technology that may or may not entice customers to use it for whatever purpose. The card has a feature known as Mastercard Paypass, a program that uses the Radio-frequency identification technology, or what we commonly know as RFID. With RFID, it becomes easier to track the card and the whereabouts of its user. It also allows customers to make faster transactions with the card. The Mastercard Paypass provides more convenience to card users but there are people who are not yet ready to welcome such a technology into their everyday life.

Platinum cards do not have the Mastercard Paypass feature but they offer convenience to customers in the form of rewards that are redeemable in select categories. Rewards points can even be converted to airmiles, which allow customers to enjoy free flights and upgrades. Compared to other rewards cards, Platinum gives a lot more bonus and rewards to its account holders.

Basically, Citi Dividend World seems to be an upgrade of the Platinum.
