The Chase Sapphire(SM) and Chase Sapphire Preferred(SM) are two very prestigeous cards, and feature some robust rewards. According to a Chase® representative, careful consideration is given to each and every applicant, and the credit line is based on your income as well as your credit score. With that in mind, I would not recommend applying for this card if you do not have excellent credit. 680 is about the lowest I would recommend, and that is probably on the low end, however each circumstance is different. 725-800 is probably the typical range.
